Do you struggle to find suitable charities for your business to support? Are you looking to unite staff and engage them in decision making? Would you like to create some positive PR for your brand?
Every year the High Sheriff chooses a charity to benefit from the proceeds of a fundraising raffle during the Awards Evening. This year Sarah Callander Beckett has chosen Cheshire Community Foundation.
Cheshire is a county of surprising diversity, and at Cheshire Community Foundation we bring together those who want to give back, with the charities in Cheshire and Warrington in need of support.
We enable companies to approach charitable giving in a more informed and focused way, making the process both rewarding and hassle-free. We carry out all the legwork; assessing funding applications, managing the due diligence on the charities our donors wish to support and providing a list of suitable projects. We then manage the donations and feedback on the success of each project, keeping companies informed on exactly how their hard-earned profits are transforming lives.
Charitable giving is an effective way of engaging staff, giving them volunteering opportunities and the responsibility of choosing which charities they would like to support. It can boost morale, developing news skills amongst employees, whilst creating loyalty within teams and bringing disparate areas of a business together. We can arrange for staff to visit projects they are supporting and to meet those they are helping.
We work with businesses of all sizes, as well as groups of companies who collaborate to make their donations go even further. Many of our corporate donors find that pooling their resources as part a group enables them to expand their business networks and encourage partnerships. Setting up a Corporate Fund with us can also create numerous PR opportunities, communicating that you are a company who cares.
We manage corporate funds from £10k or accept donations of any size into generic funds (such as our Young Minds Matter Fund, which supports people in Cheshire with mental health issues).

Previous charities to benefit from the generosity of the business community are Claire House, the Five Hospices of Cheshire, Onside Youth Zones and Cheshire Crimebeat.
