The cream of the county’s business community has been unveiled, with the announcement of the finalists for the High Sheriff of Cheshire Enterprise Awards in the build up to the annual awards night on Thursday, March 22 at Chester Racecourse.

The High Sheriff of Cheshire Enterprise Awards judges visited finalists in December and are in the process of making recommendations for the awards night.

A new category – Micro Enterprise Award – is launched this year in recognition of all the wonderful businesses in rural and urban communities throughout Cheshire who champion entrepreneurial spirit and innovation.

The Cheshire Business Leader Awards for Entrepreneur of the Year and Outstanding Business Leader will be announced on the night.

Professor Phil Harris, the Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Awards, said: “The strength, quality and depth of the companies this year is excellent and we are extraordinarily fortunate to have such a range of vibrant businesses in Cheshire, Halton and Warrington.”

Sarah Callander Beckett the High Sheriff of Cheshire, said: “Entrants across all categories impressed the judges with their strength, professionalism and excellence. It was very hard for the judges to separate the finalists in such a strong field across the categories and we look forward to seeing marvellous businesses celebrated at our Awards Evening.”
